Seronoknye Cuti Sekolah

Memang seronok tgk orang bercuti time cuti sekolah ni, hampir separuh warga office ni yang ambik peluang cuti panjang. Ramai juga yang ambik peluang bercuti-cuti Malaysia walaupun takde anak yang bersekolah.

So bagi kawan2 yang ada plan untuk travel jauh-jauh, hati-hati di jalan raya ... be back in one piece.

Nostalgic

It was scheduled for demolition early this year and will be replaced by a lifestyle shopping mall with a cinema, department store & retail units. And yet it collapsed and killed several workers recently.

Yup of coz I'm referring to the nostalgic Jaya Supermarket, the blue building situatued in the heart of Sec 14. I grew up in the neighboring section and most of my outing time I spent it there.

Little that i know it's planned to be demolished early this year and if i knew it earlier, I would have plan a farewell visit to the building. And now its gone ... for good.

7 weeks and counting ...

Erghs tak sedapnye tekak ni!!

Bila tiba-tiba hujan turun ...

Setelah seminggu dua tak hujan, tiba-tiba hujan turun selebat-lebatnya.

Bila hujan mula turun, ramai yang tersenyum sorang-sorang. Ada yang sanggup duduk depan pintu kaca office yang dibuka seluas-luasnya, semata2 nak menyaksikan sendiri hujan yang lebat dan suasana yang seakan gulap gulita(nasib baik tak disambar petir). Ada yang bahgia menghirup bauan hujan yang bagi mereka amat menyegarkan. Ada yang duduk berdiam diri sambil menikmati kesejukkan suasana sampai mata nak terlelap.

Kagum sungguh ku melihat kawan-kawanku .... hehehe

Seronok juga hujan gini ....

20-20-20 Rule

Just to share something I've learned from Ergonomics Courseware earlier today. Good practice for those who sit in front of the computer most of the time in a day ...

For every 20 minutes, take 20 seconds break and look 20 feet away to rest your eyes.

This basically revolves around the idea that you should not keep staring at your monitor for extended periods of time, whether you're working or playing games.

What's Ergonomics?
Ergonomics is the scientific discipline concerned with designing according to human needs, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance. ^[2] The field is also called human engineering, and human factors.

Why not give it a try?

Picnic@Taman Wetland Putrajaya Vol. 1

Baru balik from picnic dgn tribemates.

Why pilih Taman Wetland? Yang ni kena tanya organizer. Tapi lokasi memang sesuai utk picnic privacy macam ni. Ada Gazebo or Cocomo berbumbung besar yang hanya beberapa langkah ke tasik (kena jaga anak-anak senang nak sampai kat air tasik). And, dihadapannye ada lereng bukit berumput hijau dah bersih, (macam Salem High Country) sangat sesuai untuk photography perkahwinan or family potrait (ni pandangan photographer).

I'm the first one to arrive, at 9:00AM sharp, and as usual organizer sampai last sekali. Tak sangka pulak semua orang bawak food, so bila dah dikumpulkan, jadi macam2 food ada. Potluck lagi! Ada spaghetti, meehoon, kuih-muih, sandwiches ... boleh cover lunch sekali.

Bukan ada agenda pun, aktiviti santai, borak2 dan sesi photography, mmg seronok!


Tasik berhampiran, byk ikan rasanya, sbb ramai yang bawa joran kat jeti tu ... lain kali picnic boleh bawak joran sendiri


Tgh ready-ready untuk sesi bergambar, cuba suaikan si ibu dengan anak yang betul ... hahahaha


Qaseh mmg comel, tapi sebenarnye nak tunjuk betapa bertungkus lumusnye papaQaseh dan uncleWan kat background tu tgh tangkap gambar hehehe ... tu acara kuak kupu2 ke yang sampai sujud kat rumput tu kekekeke ...

Too Slow and I'm Furious

We went to see Fast and Furious 4 this evening. The title above got nothing to do with the movie itself. F&F4 was a great action movie yg buat TK drops his jaw for awhile especially the stunt at the beginning of the movie where Vin Diesel got to speed drive below a flaming tank. Awesome!

I paid for e-payment ticketing via the internet hope to speed up the process once we reached GSC Alamanda. The showtime was at 2:25pm (yup right after Friday prayer). So, we drove fast and TK furiously speed our way to Alamanda exactly like Fast and Furios. When we reached GSC, I looked for e-Payment/Reservation counter. Yup of course I found one, but with a sign "CLOSED, NEXT COUNTER PLEASE". Wut de hel? The only available counter was the one we need to que like everybody else, leaving me no choice but to que. As my turn reached the counter, I asked the girl, "Why e-Payment Counter is closed?", and with a smiley face she answered "Sorry Cik, tak cukup staff!". Wut?? It's too slow and I'm furious 'bout it, and if ya'all were there, you could see the dragon fire came out of my ears. Tak pasal2 that girl kena marah, and tak pasal2 we all missed the first 15 minutes of the movie ( I sure have to download this!).

Anyway, the movie was awesome. GSC Alamanda's seats were also awesome, designed for a big built like me hehe.

Majlis For Mak

Every week Mak and her frens (persatuan wanita surirumah BSP) will have a weekly Majlis Yassin and this week Mak's frens decided to throw her a birthday celebration + Majlis bacaan yassin at our house.


Bacaan yassin followed by ceramah on The Meaning of Yassin by Ustaz (Oops forgot his name!) ...


... and followed by the event where Mak kena potong cake (in this case ... cakes) while her frens sang her the famous "Selamat Ulang Tahun" song.

It was kinda Majlis potluck. We(the host) only prepare pulut kuning + rendang + mee rebus while the others prepare something else. Tersangat byk makanan, sampai dunno which one to eat first ... meriah betul dorang berpesatuan. Wish I could join them, tapi kena jadi housewife dulu la ... *wink kat TK*.

Busy Weekend

Last weekend was one hell of a tiring weekend. Why so?

Saturday at dawn, ayam pun belum berkokok, dah kena gi hantar TK to work. Singgah breakfast (at 6am) kat Azhar Maju. The pic was taken while waiting for TK tumpang solat subuh kat surau Azhar Maju. I didnt know Azhar Maju ada surau all this while.

As soon as TK's working hours ended we headed our way to Kuantan. We made a few stop for lunch at McD and picked up my MIL, TK's bro and nephews. The main reason kena gi Kuantan pun coz kena hantar my MIL to TK's 2nd bro's house in Beserah.

We reached Kuantan few minutes passed waktu maghrib. Badan pun dah letih, but sempat jugak lah layan Konsert AF7, tu pun tak dapat full view since Astro kat rumah tu ada prob sket.


Sunday morning, we all dah gerak awal from rumah Abg Ngah sbb nak reach KL before dusk. On the way back, singgah kat Malay Town, Cultural Town Putra Square Kuantan to visit Abg Ngah's booth kat situ. Sempat la dengar a few demo pasal Hai-O. At noon bertolak balik KL ...


TK dah janji with his nephews, kalau cuaca ok dan tak hujan, boleh singgah Hutan Lipur Lentang. Doa budak2 tu agaknye, dalam seharian hujan kat Kuantan, sampai je dekat dgn Hutan Lipur, panas terik. Promise is a promise, so since I'm driving masa tu, terus je turn masuk kawasan Hutan Lipur. Excited la budak2 tu nampak air sungai. Kalau tak ramai orang, nak jugak ku join sama, tapi weekend camni sure pack, segan pulak nak sexy mexy dalam air tu hehehe. The pic above - TK and his nephew.


I promised mom a birthday dinner at Tupai2 that night. That's the main reason why we have to reach KL before dusk. I called Tupai2 earlier nak buat booking, but they said Ahad malam Isnin tak pack, boleh walk in aje. Well, boleh tahan jugak ramainye malam tu. Nasib baik we all datang awal sikit, so ada table dekat dekat meja buffet & dessert.


We all satu family mmg suka steamboat and since Tupai2 ada steamboat buffet yang halal at only RM28 nett per pax so selalulah we all datang sini. Puas hati dapat treat the whole family for Mak's birthday dinner. Tahun ni Mak dah 62 yrs old, katanye still young at heart. Semoga Mak sihat selalu, dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezeki.

So that's why last weekend busy coz penuh dengan activity travel, visits, mandi sungai and makan-makan.

Ni Macam Punya Kes Pun Ada?

Siapa tak sedih kalau mak kita sendiri tak kenal kita? Siapa tak sedih kalau kita terlupa setelah lama bersama?

After office hour smlm, waktu nak balik, me and a fren walk to my season pass parking lot kat tempat yang exclusive ittew... hehe. Borak punya borak dengan my fren ni, tak sedar dah sampai basement 3, tempat myGenz di parkingkan pagi tadi, terus ku tekan remote di tangan untuk unlock kereta dari jauh, so bunyi la ... Toittt Toittt! Dengan confidentnye, we all dekati myGenz and bukak pintu kereta macam biasa. Suddenly, "apasal tak boleh bukak ni?", ku tekan lagi remote di tangan, so bunyi lagi ... Toitt!(sekali beep je maknanya lock). "Aikk tadi ku tak kunci kereta ke?", bicara dalam hati je ni. Ku tekan remote lagi sekali, "Toitt Toittt!!". Hmm hairan bunyi beep tu datang dari arah yang berlainan. Dengan perasaan yang agak agak nak gelak sampai tergolek, ku undur ke belakang untuk jenguk plet kereta yang we all cuba nak buka sedari tadi tu.

PERGHHH!! Sah!! Salah kereta!!

Rasa nak tergolek we all gelak semalam, sampai kuar air mata. Rupanya pelanduk dua serupa. Nasib baik alarm keta tu tak bunyi ... model sama, color sama, cara parking sama (sebelah tiang di baris yang sama) ... cuma tuan kereta je tak sama. Kes tersalah identity da ...

So moral of the story, borak borak jugak tapi jangan sampai tak kenal kereta sendiri ... huhuhu ... maluuuu. Sure myGenz tu sedih kan? Jgn dia merajuk sudah!

Semalam dapat phone call from a courier guy:

guy: "saya ada barang nak hantar kat akak ni"

catz: "barang apa tu" (confuse sbb takde order barang pun)
guy: "entah la kak, ada dalam guni saya tak bleh nak bukak"
...

So smlm ku tunggu jua courier guy tu sampai kat opis, sampai sesat2 mencari opis yg teramatz senang nak cari. Ingatkan dia main2 je sebut 'guni', rupa-rupanya mmg guni betul ... pergh! first time dapat parcel dalam guni :)


Ni la rupa guni beras yang dipintal2 dan diikat rapi, apa la agaknye isi guni ni sampai diikat sedemikian rupa.


Payah lak tu nak bukak, sampai gunting patah sbb ada 3 pengikat plastic keras nak kena potong. Upacara bukak guni pun ada orang tangkap gambar hehe. Masa ni dah dikerumun ngan kengkawan yang juga tak sabar nak tau isi guni misteri ni.


Wah ... handphone free dari Celcom rupanye... (ada kawan2 opis yg jeles tgk henpon free ni ... ahaks!!!) :D

Last month ada sales team celcom call untuk offer promosi terkini, convert to celcom and dapat hadiah handphone free (sape tak nak handphone free??). So lepas diskusi dengan TK and buat comparison penggunaan & penjimatan service provider sekarang dengan celcom, we decided to try out or erti kata lain berhijrah to celcom.

Plan Executive Celcom yg menawarkan sehingga 30% diskaun setiap bulan ternyata dapat menjimatkan at least RM30 sebulan berbanding service yang lama.

So apa lagi kawan2, tak perlu tukar nombor telefon sekarang, hanya bertukar service ke Celcom dan rasailah penjimatan berterusan ... (iklan tak berbayar Celcom)

BBQ

Teramatlah sangat malas untuk update now ni.

Last weekend, ada request for TK's grilled chicken chop. So alang-alang nak grilled ayam, terus je buat BBQ. Antara menu yang ada - grilled chicken chop, grilled beef steak, seafood skewer, grilled corn with butter, frankfurter, potato salad, homemade black pepper and BBQ sauce.

Kiranya macam makan full course western set lah kononnye. Salad, frankfurter and corn as appetizers, pastu makan grilled chicken chop, lepas tu grilled steak pulak, lepas tu dessert, lepas tu ... tersandar!!


Tq so much pada yg bagi hadiah BBQ pit ni masa wedding tu hari. Dah beberapa kali berjasa dah. Dah pernah serve the whole block utk BBQ gathering hari tu.


Teknik berkesan utk pembakaran ... pandai la depa dua beradik tu nak hidupkan bara

All these years, dapat tengok je kawan2 balik kampung for long holidays. Now that I have an instant kampung, so dapat la balik kampung jugak ... Last CNY holidays we all balik Kuantan utk wedding Abg Ngah's daugther (TK's niece). Since I have to work that Saturday, we all bertolak around 4pm lepas office hour, and terpaksa la redah traffic jam kat Bentong & Karak (nasib baik bukan den yang drive hehe).

Meriah and riuh rendah dengan sanak saudara, coming from a small family, agak terasa lah meriahnya kalau ramai adik beradik macam TK. Time-time kenduri macam ni baru dapat berkumpul semuanya 11 adik beradik (with their families), tu pun ada yang absent. Baru la dapat kenal all the nieces and nephews ... grand nieces and nephews, and all of them call me Mak Cu or Wan Cu (udah jadi *uwan dan teman ... dah ada cucu hehe).

Kak Ngah reserved a beach front rest house untuk semua adik beradik, walking distance je to rumah pengantin. Rest house yang macam rumah dalam cerita seniman bujang lapok, yang hanya disekat2 dindingnya tu, riuh rendah jadinya ... seronok!


Request dari Kak Ngah untuk adik bongsunya buat fruit carving. Selalu dengar pasal TK's talent in fruit carving tapi baru kali ni dapat tgk live. Kusyuk TK mengukir dengan muka yang luka2 kesan dari kena ragut the day before ... kesiannye dier!


Hasil seni tangan hubby. Bila selesai disusun atas meja makan pengantin, TK will call me to comment (cam la creative sgt nak comment hasil seni orang hehehe). Anyway, the client (Kak Ngah) amat lah berpuas hati, menepati kehendaknye ... katanya.

Aik Pak Cu pun nak bergambar dengan kek pengantin, err Mak Cu jadi tukang tangkap gambar jadi la ...
