Taman Tasik Cempaka

Last weekend sempat bawa Doter jalan-jalan di Taman Tasik Cempaka. Selalu lalu di kawasan  ni tapi tak pernah singgah dan tak tau apa yang ada dalam taman ni.

Taman Tasik Cempaka terletak bersebelahan Kompleks PKNS, McDonalds dan Bangi Sentral. Macam taman-taman riadah yang lain, TTC juga ada jogging track, tasik dan taman permainan kanak-kanak. Kemudahan lain seperti parking dan tandas awam pun disediakan untuk orang ramai. Antara yang menarik di TTC adalah kemudahan menyewa basikal dan remote control cars untuk pengunjung meneroka taman selain berjalan kaki.

Trek laluan 10,000 langkah ... memang sesuai dengan aktiviti harian saya.

Ada beberapa kemudahan untuk menyewa basikal, remote control cars dan skuter. Ada pelbagai jenis basikal untuk pilihan pengunjung. 

Sewaan basikal orang dewasa bermula dengan RM10 untuk setengah jam, basikal kanak-kanak RM10 untuk disewa sehingga 7:00 PM. Sewaan untuk remote control cars adalah RM15 dan skuter RM25 untuk setengah jam.

Since Doter pilih nak naik "4WD", kami ikutkan aje. Pakai seat-belt dulu ... 

...and off we go ... penat juga la menapak ikut 4WD dia ni, ntah berapa kali tawaf sekitar taman ...

Pasar Karat Bandar Seri Putra

Lama betul tak menulis. Skill pun dah karat macam tajuk entry kali ni 🌝

Weekend baru ni dapat luangkan masa jalan-jalan dengan Shuben & Doter di pasar karat Bandar Seri Putra.

Ok, promo time 🌝.

Pasar karat BSP atau #CarbootBandarSeriPutra diadakan pada setiap hari Ahad bermula seawal 6:00 pagi hingga 1:00 tengahari bertempat di Jalan SP 1/2 (Sepanjang deretan kedai e.g. Restoran TaQwa, KFC, Ban Soon dll). Kalau dari tol Putra Mahkota, lokasinya di sebelah kiri, depan deretan rumah kedai. Buat peminat barang terpakai, barang antik, barang koleksi, bundle mahupun yang nak berbisnes, boleh lah datang jalan-jalan cuci mata.

Banyak choices. Jalan-jalan pun selesa.

Seronok la tu jalan-jalan tambah tapak sambil cuci mata.

A Story of a Signboard

A friend of mine posted a very familiar photo of hubby’s hometown signboard. And that photo brought us to an amazing discovery. Her mom is actually hubby’s cousin. Wait a minute … that makes me, my friend’s auntie?

Wow, back then during our college years, we've never thought that we’ll be related someday. Since I’m married, I only knew few of hubby’s cousins, one of them is my friend’s mom. Unfortunately, I’ve never seen my friend at home when I went to visit.

And what made it more amazing is … my friend’s uncle (her mom’s brother) was the former CEO of one of my client’s company.

Weekend Splash @ Teh's

Couple of weeks ago, we went to my SIL's at Mentakab for her youngest son's reception. Since hubby was working half day, so it was a late arrival for us at Mentakab. And of coz, hubby's favorite masak tempoyak ikan patin, dah tinggal kuah je. :) Upon arrival, we're amazed of the new pool Teh built for her grandchildren. Khalisya was pretty excited to see all her nephews and nieces playing in the pool. Since its getting dark outside, we've decided to spend the night at Teh's.

 The next afternoon, my BIL was kind enough to cook his signature dish 'masak tempoyak ikan patin' for us. It was superb and we even brought back some for my parents.

Teh's pool is surrounded with her fauna and flora. She sacrificed her precious flower gardens for her grandchildren.

My First Pandora

I've been wanting to own a Pandora bracelet for so long but it's just not in my budget. It's somewhere at the top of my wish list, but nowhere in the priority list. I've been admiring it for quite a while now. Every time me and colleagues walked passed the Pandora store, we will stop to look around.

My brother surprised me and Mak yesterday by getting us a bracelet each. Like a dream come true, angan-angan yang jadi kenyataan. Macam tak percaya je. Definitely a big freaking surprised for me! So as of Saturday, 02 March 2013, I'm officially a Pandora owner and am looking forward to adding more charms to the bracelet in the years to come.

I have no idea of what was in the white paper bag since I was so busy entertaining Khalisya and I forgot to read the sign in front of the paper bag.

The Mines Lake Cruise

We went to The Mines couple of weeks ago. Since hubby had a weekend day off, we wanted to bring Khalisya out for an indoor walk. Khalisya loves stairs so much so we thought she will have fun walking up and down the escalator.

The first stop was the Sweet Chat Cafe, once a familiar hang out place for me & my colleagues during lunch hours or whenever we craved for a sweet dessert. 

Then, we went to Challenger IT Store. Once Khalisya spotted the game station bucket seat, she didn't move elsewhere.

Khalisya's taking a mouse-deer ride at COBAY (a game arcade next to Challenger). I don't usually stop here at COBAY, but it was an exception that day. Khalisya was kinda reluctant to move from the game station, so, we had to persuade her into COBAY. Of course she took the bait :)

Next stop ... the lake cruise. She can't take her eyes off the water splashing from our water taxi. Since we've gone to the North Lake before, this time we wanted to experience the scenery of the South Lake. Surprisingly, North and the South Lake is not at the same depth ... read about it here.

Potluck Breakfast

This morning we gathered for Putra Terrace potluck breakfast and we had many yummy dishes to choose from. I've met some new faces that I've never seen before (of course Mak knows who they are). Most of my neighbors know my parents and some of them didn't event know that I'm exist hehe.

Many of us are excited when there is potluck. I personally love potluck parties mainly for the bonding and food. Have you ever wonder what is the origin of the word 'potluck'? According to wiki, a potluck is a gathering of people where each person or group of people contributes a dish of food to be shared among the group.

As English words go, “potluck” is actually pretty straightforward.  It’s simply a combination of “pot,” in the sense of “cooking pot,” and “luck,” in the standard sense of “chance or fortune.”  When “potluck” first came into use in English in the late 16th century, it carried the sense of “whatever is available to eat” (i.e., already cooked in the pot), specifically in the context of a guest invited to dine on the spur of the moment, without special preparations having been made.  Early on, the form “to take potluck” became popular (“I accepted Mr Leeke’s invitation to take pot-luck with him and returned to Page’s in the evening,” 1810), a usage still heard today.  By the 20th century, “to take potluck” had acquired a more general sense of “to take what comes” or “to take one’s chances” in nearly any context (“Don’t be content to take ‘pot-luck’ on the future,” 1943).

Right here in our office, at least once a year we had potlucks. Usually these potlucks were not organized by the company and normally the committees are volunteers among the staffs.I have some entries about potlucks parties with the office mates.

A Little Project of Mine

I've been meaning to start Khalisya's photo booking project for a while now. I have with me lots and lots of Khalisya's pictures that I kept safely in my multiple external hard disks.

Photobooking is not a new thing anymore since there are a lot of online services that offer the services. I chose photobook.com.my for Khalisya's First Year Photobook since they're offering a nice deal of discounts for beginners like me. I bought a RM99 voucher for 40 pages of 11 x 8.5 imagewrap photobook. That is an awesome price since the normal price elsewhere would be between RM200 - 300. The best thing about this voucher is it valid until December 2015 (so I have less than 4 years to figure out how I am supposed to finish up this little project of mine .... LOL!!)

I also been wanting to start on a new digital scrapbooking hobby and this little project of mine seems like a good way to start, just hope I do have the time for this new hobby :)

2011 First Entry

Dah lama rasanya tak update. Dah banyak offline entry berkepuk dalam external hdisk, nak post pun dah rasa macam out dated since kebanyakkannya cerita-cerita december 2010. Azam baru sebagai blogger ... nak rajin-rajinkan jari jemari ni mengupdate blog ni selalu seperti suatu ketika dulu (nampaknya kena cari camera baru la untukk menggantikan camera cap ayam yang dah tak berapa nak perform ni). Azam baru sebagai ibu ... nak penuhkan semua milestone yang Khalisya tertinggal buat masa ini and kalau ada rezeki tambah lagi ahli keluarga hehe. Hmm banyak lagi azam yang ditanam untuk tahun ni, sampai tak larat nak list kan dalam entry kali ni. Hopefully semua azam dan harapan untuk tahun ini akan dipermudahkan, dirahmati dan diberkati Allah insya-Allah.

Jalan-jalan Hujung Minggu

Sabtu lepas saya ke MMSC Get Together Party di The Heritage Residences. Nasib baik TK masih bercuti, so boleh lah bawa Khalisya sekali. Last year saya tak dapat attend Party ni, dengarnya it was a blast. Tahun ni walaupun ramai yang tak dapat datang, masih lagi seronok sebab dapat jumpa kawan-kawan yang memang dah lama tak jumpa. Khalisya pun dapat jumpa kawan-kawan sebaya cam Muya(Jalina's) & Aisyah(Fly's).

Sunday pulak, we all jalan-jalan kat Mines. First time bawak Khalisya pergi shopping mall. Bukan tak nak selalu bawak Khalisya jalan-jalan camni, tapi Khalisya ada motion sickness, kereta start gerak je, dia start la nak muntah. Rasanya saya kena selalu bawa Khalisya naik kereta untuk hilangkan mabuk dia tu.

Before naik atas to venue party, we all singgah mengalas perut di bakery kat lobby Heritage. Erks tak sedap! Tu muka TK yang tgh panas sbb food rasa macam nak expired tu.

Ada 3 baby yang hadir party tu, Khalisya the smallest, baik dari segi physical mahupun umur. Syioknya depa tidoq!

Khalisya suka jalan-jalan naik stroller, sampai ibu angkat pun dia marah hehe.

We all lunch kat SweetChat, apa lagi makan dessert lah. Khalisya pun lunch gak.

Catz: Weekend ni nak kemana yek?

Staff Party @ Legend Water Chalet

Since kahwin, belum pernah sekali pun TK&me attended a staff party or gathering office masing-masing. Lepas TK start kerja nun di negeri jiran, baru lah merasa dijemput ke staff party... itupun dept party je. Siap boleh bawak the whole family (kalau nak). Department diorang ni macam family sebab the HOD is very friendly and caring. Mengikut cerita-cerita yang saya dengar, every year event ni diadakan tanpa menggunakan sesen pun duit company mahupun staff. Interesting kan? Diorang ada cara tersendiri untuk kumpul dana bagi event macam ni.

Hm ... teringat pulak doulu2. Once pernah jugak merasa duduk dalam a big department yang rata-rata staff nya bagai family sendiri, mana taknya, kalau dah siang malam pagi petang makan tido di office ... for sure macam family.


View dekat pool. Ni lah lokasi staff party kali ni. Walaupun cuaca agak panas and food tak berapa memberansangkan, still rasa seronok coz ni lah first time dapat kluar malam sejak lepas pantang. The event took place beberapa hari selepas 44 hari saya berpantang hehe. Of course Khalisya tak ikut, dia masih berpantang (neneknya tak bagi bawak!) :)

Dengar2nya, the biggest event of the year akan diadakan soon, All Staff Party dengan tema Pirate of the Carribean, tapi malangnya, spouse tak boleh ikut sbb staff sahaja dah cecah angka ratus ratus ... kalau semua bawak spouse or family, satu padang bola pun tak cukup kot :) Nasib baik jugak lah tak boleh nak pergi, kalau tak, baju ala ala pirate yg bagaimana sesuai utk saya? *tak dapat di imagine*.

Picnic@Taman Wetland Putrajaya Vol. 1

Baru balik from picnic dgn tribemates.

Why pilih Taman Wetland? Yang ni kena tanya organizer. Tapi lokasi memang sesuai utk picnic privacy macam ni. Ada Gazebo or Cocomo berbumbung besar yang hanya beberapa langkah ke tasik (kena jaga anak-anak senang nak sampai kat air tasik). And, dihadapannye ada lereng bukit berumput hijau dah bersih, (macam Salem High Country) sangat sesuai untuk photography perkahwinan or family potrait (ni pandangan photographer).

I'm the first one to arrive, at 9:00AM sharp, and as usual organizer sampai last sekali. Tak sangka pulak semua orang bawak food, so bila dah dikumpulkan, jadi macam2 food ada. Potluck lagi! Ada spaghetti, meehoon, kuih-muih, sandwiches ... boleh cover lunch sekali.

Bukan ada agenda pun, aktiviti santai, borak2 dan sesi photography, mmg seronok!


Tasik berhampiran, byk ikan rasanya, sbb ramai yang bawa joran kat jeti tu ... lain kali picnic boleh bawak joran sendiri

BBQ

Teramatlah sangat malas untuk update now ni.

Last weekend, ada request for TK's grilled chicken chop. So alang-alang nak grilled ayam, terus je buat BBQ. Antara menu yang ada - grilled chicken chop, grilled beef steak, seafood skewer, grilled corn with butter, frankfurter, potato salad, homemade black pepper and BBQ sauce.

Kiranya macam makan full course western set lah kononnye. Salad, frankfurter and corn as appetizers, pastu makan grilled chicken chop, lepas tu grilled steak pulak, lepas tu dessert, lepas tu ... tersandar!!


Tq so much pada yg bagi hadiah BBQ pit ni masa wedding tu hari. Dah beberapa kali berjasa dah. Dah pernah serve the whole block utk BBQ gathering hari tu.


Teknik berkesan utk pembakaran ... pandai la depa dua beradik tu nak hidupkan bara
