Attack of the Flies

Studies found that maggots will seek protective places to pupate and turn into flies. Maybe that’s the reason we have not seen those maggots anymore. Now those maggots are back, but this time they get older and bigger. They turn into flies. Euww! There goes our healthy office environment. No food can be left uncovered.

I did some digging on flies, just to make sure that we are not in great danger surrounded by the species. As long as we have our food covered and we wash our hands before taking our meals, there shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

The genus we have at level 3 is called blow fly. They usually breed in meat scraps, animal excrement, and decaying animal matter. They don’t bite like stable flies. They will live up to 21 days. I’m not sure whether we should get a fly trap or let them die after 21 days. I just hope nobody will get sick in this near future.

Office hour and Parking Spot

Effective today, my new official office hours for Ramadhan will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm. I have no problem reaching office by 8:30am, but I do have problem finding available parking spot. How many parking spaces can you find after 8:20am? Almost none! Not to mention those people who come in late, they will make a few round of tawaf before parking in a non-parking area. Wait till the Condo completed their development. There will be no more parking spot for us. To make the whole thing worse, MPSJ is actively towing illegally parked cars. No mercy, no considerations.

Park anywhere you want!

Me visit Suz

Center St. Apt: We used to live here.

I got to visit Suz finally. We definitely had fun. I had no problem cruising along Jalan Raja Laut at 7:00am Saturday morning although I have no clue for the Hotel whereabouts.
I have not seen her in six years. Lots of things to talk about. We talked about life, old friends, work, families and a lot more for sure. We even flashed back to the day before she got married, don’t worry sis, I won’t be blogging about that here. Suz sneaked me in the continental breakfast buffet. She said nothing to be afraid of since most of her colleague went back early, ample of space for me to fill in. The food was not bad, I can’t complaint really, coz it was free.
I could not stay a little longer coz I promised my mom to do some shopping before Ramadhan. So I drove her to Jalan TAR where she wanted to check out some things. We waved to each other and I went home. Really looking forward to the next reunion where everybody (aiai, rya, dikyah-where the heck is she now?, etc) is invited.
Our names should be engraved

Wriggling Maggots

"Info: Maggot is a larva of the housefly and blowfly commonly found in decaying organic matter."
How often can you see maggots fall from above? Well, just right before lunch hour, we got to see ‘em squeezing their way out between our office's ceiling connector. Disgusting but funny! Disgusting to see how they wriggled their way on the carpet but funny to see my colleagues jumping, running and screaming over a little maggot. Simply hilarious! There’s no rotten smell around, suddenly maggots fell from the ceiling? Something must have been died up there. Yeah, of course I’m right, what else could it be? Pest control found “something” on the ceiling. They even picked it up using a plastic bag. Euww! I wouldn’t dare to see it closely. Pest control people should find another way to get rid of the rats so that we can work in peace again.

Appendicitis Rupture

Info: Appendicitis is inflammation of infection of the appendix. The appendix is a small finger-shaped pouch attached to the large intestine and is usually found on the lower right side of the abdomen. The appendix has no known purpose of function.

I was shocked to hear that a friend’s son was admitted at Kajang Hospital for appendicitis rupture. I can’t really imagine how the five-year old can handle the agonizing pain. We’ve visited him today, a day after the surgery. Looks like he gonna be okay in a few weeks. Get well soon Hishraf!

She's leaving on a Jet Plane

My cousin left for Cairo this afternoon. Flight GF 0281 was scheduled at 4:15PM. We arrived in KLIA around 12:30PM ... ample time to mingle around and spent more time with her. Everybody (Atuk, Nenek, PakUsu&family, MakTeh&family) waited until she made here way to the gate with the rest of 60 other students. The group was scheduled to stay overnight in Bahrain before flying to Cairo. Bon Voyage Aisyah! Wish you all the best.
